Warum technologische Synergien die Basis für individuelle Markenstärke sind

Multi-tenant strategies

Efficiency through Unity. Or Why Technological Synergies Are the Foundation of Individual Brand Strength

The digital presence of corporate groups has long faced a dilemma: Either you opt for maximum standardization and sacrifice the autonomy of your subsidiaries—or you allow total freedom and sink into a chaos of disparate systems and high costs. This is particularly evident on corporate websites with various subsidiaries, each of which operates its own content management system (CMS).

Diverse Uncontrolled Growth

Many corporations have chosen the path of diversity. Every brand, every subsidiary maintains its own CMS, uses its own design assets, and works with isolated tech stacks. The result: uncontrolled growth that slows down agility and burns through valuable resources.

True scaling does not come from duplicating infrastructure, but from its intelligent centralization. In practice, this means: a setup that harnesses the power of shared resources without stifling the brand’s individuality.

Our approach: Headless Multi-Tenancy.

The technical architecture — a central CMS, a consistent design system — forms the foundation. This is where the modular approach comes into play: components are defined once, maintained centrally, and made available to all clients. It’s “headless at its best”: content is stored in a structured format in the backend, while the frontends of the individual companies are rendered with precision. Our headless CMS strictly separates content management (backend) from visual presentation (frontend) by storing content in a purely data-driven manner. Via an API, this content is flexibly delivered to any output channels, such as various websites, apps, or IoT devices.

The example of Profidata and Arkus Financial Services shows how this principle enables growth in reality. While the parent company Profidata sets the technological guidelines and structural framework, the subsidiary Arkus operates completely independently within its market environment.

At its core, it’s about striking a balance between centralized efficiency and decentralized relevance. We’re creating a digital ecosystem that leverages synergies at the code level so brands can focus on what matters most: their customers.
Technological DNA

Individual yet consistent. The shared design system preserves visual consistency, sharpens brand identity, and minimizes maintenance efforts. New features, security updates, or design optimizations are developed once and immediately benefit the entire network.

We view this multi-tenant setup as a strategic lever that enables organizations to drastically shorten their time-to-market while simultaneously massively improving the quality of their digital touchpoints — all at a fraction of the cost.

Today, the competitive advantage no longer lies in finding a new tool for every task. Rather, it lies in having an architecture that grows with the organization. Or, to put it another way: True strength does not come from separation, but from a shared technological DNA.

Identical setup & comparable cases

Our implementation partner Extra Virgin from St. Gallen has published its insights in a LinkedIn post.

Here at Wirz, we have Gesundheitswelt Zollikerberg with an identical setup.
The case has been developed in a very similar way.
