The shortage of skilled workers has long since reached the creative industry as well. In search of new talent, Wirz took an unusual approach and—not only in Switzerland—generated a lot of buzz.
The Challenge
Finding good creative talent in Switzerland has long since become a challenge. Many young creatives are drawn to Amsterdam, Berlin, or London—cities with international appeal, big-name agencies, and bold advertising markets. Zurich, by contrast, often seems too small, too conservative, and not experimental enough in comparison.
The Benefits
A mobile billboard made Wirz visible to international creative talent—right where they work: in the heart of Berlin’s creative hub. Potential candidates were addressed directly and personally and directed to a landing page featuring structured information about living and working in Zurich, as well as specific entry-level opportunities at Wirz. The campaign thus combined attention with genuine conversion: from interest to application.

The campaign achieved exactly what it set out to do: attention and debate. The poster was the subject of heated discussion in both Swiss and German media—from industry portals to daily newspapers to social media. Despite a shoestring budget of just 1'300 francs, the campaign reached nearly 10 million people and generated over 60 qualified applications. In the end, it wasn’t just about making headlines: the campaign directly led to a successful new hire.
