From awareness to involvement: The campaign for vocational reintegration shows how their social environment can easily help accident victims: The main thing is to be there for them.
The Challenge
Suva supports accident victims on their way back to everyday life—medically, therapeutically, and organizationally. But true reintegration requires more: emotional closeness. Many people in the victim’s social circle underestimate their own importance to the healing process—or simply don’t know how they can help. The goal was to reduce this uncertainty and actively involve the social circle in the recovery process.
The benefits
With a humorous, emotional campaign, Suva made the shift from raising awareness to fostering involvement. Instead of abstract appeals, the campaign offered concrete tips on what helps in everyday life. And that’s pretty much it: Being there for accident victims helps. No matter what. The cross-media campaign provided practical tips for all target groups—relatives, colleagues, and employers—and encouraged them to simply be there for those affected.
