Following the major success of No Drama“, one of the world’s 10 most successful commercials of 2021, Switzerland Tourism has excelled itself again. The subject of the 2022 communication campaign is the Grand Tour of Switzerland. The Best of Switzerland, packaged in an unforgettable road trip. Back on board is ambassador and Switzerland fan Roger Federer.

Having tried in vain a year ago to engage Robert de Niro for a commercial, this time round Roger Federer was more successful. With Oscar winner Anne Hathaway he once again has an international star at his side.

But oops, what went wrong? We watch as Roger’s second attempt to finally make a tourism film for Switzerland fails miserably. The American Hollywood star and the tennis champion view the result of their shooting for the first time and realise with horror that they have been reduced to two dots in the film.

The explanation is supplied by the mercurial director. The Grand Tour is quite simply far more impressive than the two international stars.

Switzerland Tourism’s latest hit once again ends with a touch of self-irony: “No one upstages the Grand Tour of Switzerland.”


Worldwide campaign 2022

The clip is part of a worldwide campaign to promote the Grand Tour of Switzerland. It is flanked by various promotional media with the motto “I need the road trip of my life. I need Switzerland.” The rich diversity of Swiss nature is showcased during the Grand Tour of Switzerland. To make the trip even more unique, Roger acts as official guide on the most beautiful road trip through the Alps and shares his personal recommendations.

Focusing on digital moving images, the campaign is deployed worldwide.
