The tournament organisers of WEURO 2025 have big goals. Doris Keller, Director of the Organising Committee, puts it like this: "We want to make the tournament the most attended, most watched and most attractive sporting event in history." Around half a billion TV viewers are expected worldwide.
Perhaps the biggest challenge for the tournament organisers is to ensure that the stadiums are full; over 700,000 tickets must be sold to achieve this. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, WIRZ was entrusted with the task of developing a tournament narrative and the corresponding motto. Both serve as the basis for all further marketing activities that will follow until the start of the tournament. First and foremost is the promotional campaign, which will be launched throughout Europe in the autumn and is intended to get football fans excited about the tournament and encourage them to buy tickets.
On 8 March, International Women's Day, the tournament motto was unveiled to the general public at a press conference in Bern. It follows the narrative that football is much more than just a game. It is a feeling. A game full of emotion.
And because the tournament is taking place in Switzerland, the land of mountains and summits, it is not simply a "tournament of emotions", but the sensational summit of European top-class football. It is "The Summit of Emotions."
The motto was launched with an opening film and various activities carried out by YB players for schoolchildren around the Bundesplatz in Bern.
